Terrassa is also one of the main castle squares in Catalonia, where the Minyons de Terrassa and Castellers de Terrassa gangs perform.
The Minyons de Terrassa gang was publicly presented in July 1979 and wears mauve shirts.
The Castellers de Terrassa group, founded in 1980, wear turquoise blue shirts.
In the month of November, the days of the two castelleras gangs of the city are celebrated.
Unesco declared the castles Intangible Heritage of Humanity in 2010.
