The building dates from the 12th century, and was originally a castle before being temporarily turned into a Carthusian monastery in the 14th and 15th centuries.

From the monastic period there is the Gothic nave which housed the old chapel, popularly known as Tinellet, the chapter house and the two-storey cloister.

The Castle is currently home to the temporary exhibition hall of the Museum of Terrassa and a permanent exhibition which shows the evolution of the area and human settlement in Terrassa and its county.

Opening hours:

Wednesday to Saturday from 10 to 13.30h and from 14 to 19h.
Saturdays from 10 to 14h.

2019: from 15th to 22 April, July and from 23rd December 2019 to 2nd January 2020, closed.
